Will, Win and Indifference !

What can be the best source of Inspiration?

Are they the quotes you use.......Can they be the movies you watch.....and what about your favourite sports or sportsman.

I shall have missed many of the well known sources. History tells you stories, a lots of them, they can be a real source of inspiration.
Some efforts get unnoticed and so are their results.... But what if these results were an inspiration for life?

This is the story of Kinkri Devi (Read the
Article). She was a Sweeper. She filed a law suit in Shimla high court (later reached Supreme Court) against illegal mining and also won it. Who said Justice is expensive and rarely you get that in India. Right efforts and your Will are the things that matter. She was a sweeper when she represented India in International Women's Conference in Beijing because of the keen interest taken in her by Hillary Rodham Clinton, then the first lady of United States. Long have I heard about 'Will', 'Grit', 'Courage', 'Determination' but rarely you see/hear about implementations. This is one of them

I was appalled by the fact that this story was not reported in none of the news paper in India (except one, that also late). Most of the news websites and that particular newspaper reported the story after it was published in New York times. Seems like we still haven't passed Swami Vivekanand era who was recognized only after he proved his mettle around the world.

How long shall we be denied some Indian Stories with courage of common man?

Don't know how many heroes will depart unreported and unappreciated?

Why?

Why are holidays always short??

Ever heard the phrase "Long Holidays" (Except when you ask for a vacation from your boss) I think there are some questions which are never answered convincingly. I still remember being a kid going to school, those forty minutes of lectures at school seemed so long and I remained completely dazzled where did my 'Sundays' whisk away suddenly. I still feel the same after so many years....

By the way there is a long list of these "WHYs"

Why do shares you bought always seem to go red?

Whenever you watch cricket match why does Sachin never scores?

Why do the portion you left always comes in exam?

Why does the queue you leave moves fast?

Why do you never have a beautiful girl sitting next to you while traveling, but your best friend always get lucky?

Seems like this list will never end. Some people are fortunate that most of these "Whys" never do happen in their life, but there are some unfortunate people like me who face them quite often...

But one thing for sure everybody has "Short Vacations" and "Small Sundays".

Any takers???

They are just Pennies

Last week I got an opportunity to listen to one of the most profound lady in India - Ms Kiran Bedi. I am not able to find the best adjective that can describe her. Many of us are aware of her achievements in Indian Police, but a narration from a person whose eyes have been a witness of all of them was very enchanting. She has redefined the Courage, Determination and Intellect in modern India.

After speaking on India and Personal lives, came the turn of MBA/Business, and as per her candidness, she took a direct aim to shoot on us

"You talk about Corporate Social Responsibility, and you also know Its Just Pennies"

I still remember the statement in my Social Science text book - "Man is a social animal". And like any of us I agree with it and also with the fact that Businesses always come up with fancy words (like C.S.R.) to show they are responsible. C.S.R. as what she meant was a very little step and more things need to be done.

As far as I am concerned I don't know how much Faff the C.S.R. is, but one thing for sure, Society comprises of Individuals and I think there should be call of I.S.R. (Individual Social Responsibility) too. Something which is more than a mere Taxpayer. I hope Ms Bedi will also agree with the same.....

The Journey Begins

It started from no where. I never imagined that blogging and I can marry.

After all things change, People say life is dynamic (How come I never see it) . I was introduced to it by friend and reinforced by one of the bloggers whom I appreaciate a lot for his candidness and clarity.

"Faff". I had never heard this word until I joined MDI.

Everybody says its all "Faff" but then as the terms progress they realise "Guys its more than that".

So lets explore the life and around, after all its no Faff .

Hence the title " its no faff"
